Neither side could find a winning goal during the additional 30 minutes, and Morocco eventually prevailed on penalties to seal their place in the next round.
The victory sends Morocco into the Round of 16, where they will face Canada, while the Netherlands bow out of the tournament after a hard-fought encounter.
