The Osun State Police Command has paraded a total of 24 suspects in connection with various crimes, including the killing of a 14-year-old boy and involvement in political thuggery across the state.
Among those presented was Kareem Saheed, popularly known as “Tanfeani,” who was accused of leading a group of hoodlums to the Irepodun Local Government Secretariat in Ilobu on June 21.
The incident reportedly led to the death of a teenager, Ezekiel Olapade, who was hit by a stray bullet.
According to reports, the attackers allegedly opened fire at a palm wine bar located opposite the secretariat after spotting a man wearing a yellow cap. During the chaos, the victim was struck and later died from his injuries.
However, Saheed denied any involvement in the incident, stating that he was not present at the scene at the time of the attack.
He claimed he was at a party office in Ilobu and described the allegations as politically motivated.
