After a tightly contested first half ended goalless, Jude Bellingham broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute, reacting quickest to score from close range following a corner. The midfielder then turned provider just five minutes later, delivering a pinpoint cross for captain Harry Kane to head home England’s second goal.
Kane’s strike marked his 11th FIFA World Cup goal, making him England’s all-time leading scorer in the tournament and surpassing Gary Lineker’s previous record of 10 goals.

The victory ensured England finished top of Group L with seven points, securing qualification for the Round of 32, where they will face DR Congo. Croatia also advanced from the group, while Ghana and Panama were eliminated.
