Nigeria content creator popularly known as Fockelly opened up about the circumstances surrounding her failed marriage, dismissing claims that she lost her marriage because of infidelity or promiscuity.
Speaking in a video shared on her social media page, she addressed comments accusing her of taking another woman’s husband and sleeping with different men, which she said were responsible for the breakdown of her marriage.
She explained that she got married at the age of 17, shortly after completing her secondary education, and had her first child at 18 and second child at 19.
According to her, her marriage ended after her former husband, who she identified as a pastor, allegedly told her that God had instructed him to divorce her and marry another woman.
She questioned the circumstances surrounding the decision, saying she was very young and inexperienced when she entered the marriage.

She also disclosed that she currently finds it difficult to consider another relationship because she wants a partner with a high level of emotional intelligence who would understand the difference between her social media presence and her private lifestyle.
“I’m looking for a man with a very high IQ level, a man that will understand that her life on social media is different from her lifestyle,” she said.
She added that she wants a partner who would support her ambitions and activities, stressing that life in the public eye is not as easy as many people assume.
The woman appealed to critics to be more considerate, saying, “You should take it easy on me. It’s not easy for me.”
