Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has opened up about her decision to undergo a mummy makeover, saying the physical changes she experienced after childbirth affected her both psychologically and physically.
Ogbodo, who has three children, disclosed in an interview with Deacon Famous that she delivered all three through Caesarean sections.
The actress said she opted for the cosmetic procedures after her third pregnancy as part of her efforts to restore her confidence and become more comfortable with her body.
She also described herself as a strong advocate for women and girls, saying her experiences growing up have influenced her desire to support and educate other women.

“All my life, I’ll say I’m an advocate for women and girls. As a girl, I know what I saw growing up and, as a woman, what I’m still seeing, so I try to help or teach women any way possible,” she said.
Explaining her decision to undergo the makeover, Ogbodo said the changes to her body after having her third child became difficult for her to accept.
She said the procedure helped her address the physical changes while also improving her psychological wellbeing.
“I had a mummy makeover done to my body, so I look good. My body changed after my third baby. I couldn’t hold it anymore, so I knew I had to do the mummy makeover to recover myself psychologically, physically and otherwise,” she said.
Ogbodo revealed that the procedures she underwent included a tummy tuck and liposuction. However, she said she has not yet had breast augmentation, which can also form part of a mummy makeover.
“Tummy tuck, liposuction and breast augmentation form the mummy makeover, but I’m yet to do the breast augmentation. But I had every other thing done, including my teeth, so I could come back to the goddess,” she added.
A mummy makeover generally refers to a combination of cosmetic procedures designed to address physical changes associated with pregnancy and childbirth. The procedures involved vary depending on an individual’s needs and preferences.
For Ogbodo, the decision was a personal one, driven by her desire to feel confident and comfortable in her body after having three children.
