FIFA has released its latest goalkeeper power rankings for the ongoing 2026 World Cup, spotlighting outstanding performances from shot-stoppers across the globe.
Among the standout names are Cape Verde’s captain Vozinha and South Africa’s Ronwen Williams, who have both delivered exceptional displays during the group stage.
The rankings, powered by Aramco, evaluate goalkeepers using two core performance metrics: In Possession and Defending the Goal.
The In Possession category measures a goalkeeper’s contribution to build-up play, including passing accuracy and distribution, while Defending the Goal focuses on shot-stopping ability, goal prevention, and overall defensive impact.
Vozinha emerged as the top performer in the In Possession category, earning a rating of 8.03. The Cape Verdean captain completed 91 out of 130 passes and recorded 34 successful line-breaking passes, demonstrating his composure and influence in initiating attacking plays from the back.
Defensively, he also impressed, ranking eighth with a score of 7.33 after making nine saves from 11 shots on target and conceding just two goals during the group stage.
South Africa’s Ronwen Williams followed closely behind in the possession rankings with a score of 7.64. He completed 102 of 151 passes, registered 24 line breaks, and delivered 16 forward passes beyond opposition lines.
