Social media critic and influencer VeryDarkMan has responded to allegations made by former BBNaija winner Phyna that he made sexual advances toward her.
Phyna had claimed on Sunday that VeryDarkMan withdrew from her late sister’s case after she rejected his request. In an Instagram video, VeryDarkMan denied the accusation and questioned whether asking for sex is a crime between consenting adults.
He said he had never told Phyna he wanted to sleep with her but insisted that even if he had, it would not be an issue. According to him, seeking consent is part of adult interaction and is different from assault.
“Phyna said I wanted to sleep with her. She said she has evidence, I will like to see the evidence first because I have never told Phyna that I wanted to sleep with her,” he stated.

He added, “What if I told Phyna that I wanted to sleep with her? Is there a problem with that? Both of us are adults. Thank God you didn’t say I wanted to rape you or spike your drink. For you to say you have evidence means I even asked you, and that’s how it should be done as an adult.”
VeryDarkMan emphasized that neither he nor Phyna is married or underage, arguing that there would be nothing wrong with making such a request. He also said he was curious to see the evidence she claims to have.
The exchange is the latest development in the fallout between the two over Phyna’s late sister’s case.
