Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, says her biggest regret is using her prize money to support family members instead of investing it.
Speaking during a recent livestream, the reality star admitted she was young and naive when she left the show and did not manage her finances properly. She blamed older family members for failing to give her sound financial advice at the time.
Phyna explained that rather than encouraging her to invest, family members kept making financial demands and even turned against her when she could no longer meet their requests. She said she spent generously on them, including funding multiple borehole projects, believing she was helping to clear their debts.

According to her, the moment she started saying no, her relationship with some family members changed. She claimed they complained and called her out publicly whenever she could not provide support. Now that the money is gone, she said she is the one left to face the reality alone.
Phyna won N100 million as the grand prize of BBNaija Season 7 in 2022. The package included N50 million in cash and another N50 million worth of prizes from sponsors.
