Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has revealed that she currently prefers raising pets over having children.
The winner of Big Brother Naija season seven made the statement during a recent livestream, where she spoke candidly about her evolving views on motherhood as she approaches her 30s.
According to the 28-year-old reality star, her perspective has been shaped by personal experiences and observations. She explained that some women who go through repeated heartbreaks tend to redirect their affection and nurturing instincts toward animals.
Phyna clarified that her decision has nothing to do with fertility concerns, noting that she is capable of having children but simply does not desire it at the moment.

“I’m not really interested in having a child. I’d rather just be a mum to a cat and a dog,” she said.
She added that as some women grow older especially those who do not see themselves settling down they begin to find comfort and companionship in pets.
The reality TV star also hinted that she does not currently envision herself in a long-term relationship, reinforcing her preference for animal companionship over traditional family life.
Phyna has remained in the spotlight since her time on Big Brother Naija, previously opening up about personal experiences, including her cosmetic surgery journey and recovery process, which she shared with fans online.
