The Kano State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers and recovered a tricycle allegedly stolen from its owner along the Kano-Maiduguri Highway.
The suspects, identified as 27-year-old Abubakar Isah and 25-year-old Shehu Ibrahim, both residents of Zogarawa Village in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area, were arrested on October 3, 2026, following intelligence-led operations by the police.
According to the police, the incident occurred on September 30 when the victim, Nasiru Ibrahim, was hired to transport passengers from Hotoro Quarters in Kano to Yar Gaya in Dawakin Kudu for N8,000.
The suspects allegedly produced locally made firearms while they were on the journey, threatened the tricycle operator and took away his vehicle. They reportedly dragged him into a nearby bush before escaping with the tricycle.
