Two people sustained injuries after a truck reportedly lost control and crashed into several vehicles along the Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, around the Tollgate area of the expressway, while the truck was travelling towards Lagos.
According to the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), the crash involved several vehicles, including a Mercedes-Benz truck, Toyota Camry, Suzuki bus, Acura MDX, Lexus SUV, GAC, Bajaj and TVS tricycles, as well as a Mitsubishi vehicle.

TRACE spokesperson Babatunde Akinbiyi said the crash was serious, but only two people—a man and a woman—sustained varying degrees of injuries. No death was recorded.
The injured victims were reportedly taken to a hospital by their relatives before the arrival of rescue officials.
TRACE, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the police responded to the scene, while some of the damaged vehicles were towed away for investigation.
The accident initially caused severe traffic congestion, but officials later cleared the affected vehicles and restored normal traffic flow.
