Two brothers have been killed after a tipper truck reportedly veered off the road and crashed into a palm wine joint along Erhuwaren Road in Kiagbodo, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.
The incident occurred after the brothers had inspected an ongoing electrification project at the Technical College in Kiagbodo.
According to an eyewitness, one of the brothers had secured the contract for the electrification project and invited his sibling to assist with the work. After completing their inspection, the brothers reportedly went to a nearby palm wine joint to relax.
However, tragedy struck when the tipper truck, travelling along the Erhuwaren route, suddenly left the roadway and crashed into the brothers.
The impact reportedly killed both men instantly.
Bystanders rushed the victims to the Federal Medical Centre, Ovwian, where they were confirmed dead on arrival.

The identities of the deceased had not been officially disclosed as of the time of filing the report.
The accident reportedly left the once-busy palm wine joint deserted, while the truck remained at the scene when journalists visited.
Confirming the incident, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, said the command was aware of the accident and that fuller details would be released later.
The tragic incident has left residents and witnesses shocked as authorities are expected to provide further information on the circumstances surrounding the crash.
