
Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have rescued five women abducted by terrorists during an operation in Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The operation was carried out after the troops received intelligence about the movement of suspected terrorists around Madaci Forest.
A military source said the troops quickly mobilised and used tactical manoeuvres to intercept the terrorists in the area.
The source said the military operation threw the terrorists into confusion, allowing the troops to safely rescue the victims.

The rescued victims included a mother and her infant, along with three other minors and young adults from Danja and Funtua Local Government Areas.
The victims were later handed over to the Chairman of Bakori Local Government Area, Abubakar Musa, for reunification with their families.
Meanwhile, the troops have continued aggressive patrols around the area as part of efforts to dominate the forest and restrict the movement of terrorists and other criminal elements.
