Operatives of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested three suspected drug traffickers accused of supplying illicit substances to terrorists and other criminal elements in Katsina State.
The suspects were apprehended during a coordinated operation carried out on Tuesday evening at about 5:15 p.m. in Kagara village, Kafur Local Government Area.
According to security sources, the operation was executed by troops from the Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Malumfashi alongside NDLEA personnel from the Malumfashi Area Command.
The raid specifically targeted suspected drug distribution hubs believed to be feeding criminal networks operating within the region.

The arrested individuals were identified as Mohammed Lawan (34), Muhawiya Haruna (40), and Junadata Usman (40).
Items recovered during the operation include substances suspected to be cannabis sativa, tramadol capsules, pregabalin, diazepam, Extol-5 tablets, rubber solution, and a locally known intoxicant referred to as “Suck and Die” spirit.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects were actively involved in the supply of hard drugs and other harmful substances to террорист groups and criminal gangs operating in Kafur and nearby communities.
Following their arrest, the suspects, along with the recovered exhibits, have been handed over to the NDLEA Area Command in Malumfashi for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Security agencies say the operation is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the logistics and supply chains sustaining terrorism and criminal activities across Katsina State.
