Troops of the Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI, have arrested two suspected suppliers allegedly providing logistics to Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in Yobe State.
The suspects were apprehended on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, after troops received intelligence about a consignment believed to be heading to terrorist elements operating around the Yunusari-Mobbar axis.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Acting Military Information Officer of the Joint Task Force North East, Captain Mohammed Goni, soldiers from 159 Battalion under Sector 2 OPHK, alongside other security personnel, intercepted the consignment at Gumsa Bridge in Geidam Local Government Area.
The operation led to the recovery of a large quantity of motorcycle spare parts suspected to have been intended for use by the terrorists.
Among the items recovered were motorcycle tyres, crankshafts, oil seals, traffic indicators, acceleration and clutch cables, bearings, brake components, gaskets, piston kits, chains and sprockets.
Other items included speedometers, clutch plates, rocker arms, CDI units, coils, rectifiers, fuel-related components and additional motorcycle parts. Troops also recovered 145 pairs of footwear and two Tecno Android phones.

The military said the arrested suspects and recovered items had been handed over to the 27 Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation.
The interception is part of ongoing efforts by security forces to disrupt the supply networks supporting terrorist groups and restrict their access to materials needed for their operations.
The Joint Task Force urged members of the public to continue providing credible and timely information to security agencies to strengthen counter-terrorism operations across the North-East.
