
A tragic road accident involving a tricycle and a Howo truck has claimed the life of a tricycle rider, while two other individuals sustained injuries along the Sango-Ijoko Road in Ogun State.
The incident, which occurred on Friday night near Alasia Bus Stop, was confirmed by the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE).
According to the Public Relations Officer of TRACE, Babatunde Akinbiyi, the crash was reportedly caused by impaired visibility, as an eyewitness cited blurry vision as a contributing factor.

The deceased rider’s body has been deposited at the Ifo General Hospital, while the two injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities have since cleared the accident scene, with both the tricycle and the truck towed off the road to restore normal traffic flow.
Reacting to the incident, TRACE urged motorists to exercise caution, remain patient on the road, and avoid reckless driving to prevent unnecessary loss of lives.
This incident adds to the growing concerns over road safety in the region, highlighting the urgent need for stricter adherence to traffic regulations and improved driving conditions.
