Friends and associates of the late former Ogun State Television (OGTV) broadcaster, Kitan Oyesiku, have called on the Ogun State Government and security agencies to intensify efforts to uncover the circumstances surrounding her tragic death and ensure justice is served.
The appeal was made by a group known as Friends of Kitan Oyesiku in a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by Oluwaseun Boye.
Oyesiku and her security guard were reportedly found dead at her residence in Iyana Agodo Village, Ogun State, under suspicious circumstances that have sparked public concern.
According to earlier reports, operatives of the Ogun State Police Command commenced an investigation after a resident raised an alarm over unusual activities at the deceased’s home.
Detectives who visited the scene reportedly discovered signs of forced entry and disturbance.
The body of the security guard was found at the security post, while Oyesiku’s remains were later discovered inside her apartment. Her Lexus RX300 vehicle, initially declared missing, has since been recovered as investigations continue.
Describing the deceased as peaceful, compassionate, and kind-hearted, the group lamented the brutal nature of her death.
“Kitan was a peaceful and compassionate woman whose life was cut short in a cruel and senseless manner. Her death has left family, friends, and all who knew her devastated,” the statement read.
