
Two suspects have been arrested by the Taraba State Illegal Mining Task Force over alleged involvement in illegal mining activities in Bali Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects were apprehended on October 2 at Gidan Boss, near Mayo Kam, during a site assessment conducted by the task force in collaboration with officials of the Ministry of Solid Minerals.
According to the task force, the operation was aimed at identifying and disrupting unauthorised mining activities while protecting Taraba State’s mineral resources.

The suspects were taken to Jalingo for further investigation as authorities intensify efforts to enforce mining regulations across the state.
The task force also reaffirmed its commitment to increasing surveillance and enforcement operations against illegal mining activities.
