
Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been drawn against Madagascar, Tanzania and Guinea-Bissau in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
The draw ceremony was held on Tuesday in Cairo, Egypt, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association, where African nations discovered their opponents for the qualification campaign.
The Super Eagles, led by head coach Éric Chelle, entered the draw as one of the seeded teams following Nigeria’s strong standing in African football.
Nigeria are expected to be favourites in the group as they aim to secure one of the two qualification spots available for the tournament finals.

The qualifying series will be played during FIFA international windows between September 2026 and March 2027. Matchdays one and two are scheduled to take place from September 21 to October 6, 2026, while the third and fourth rounds of fixtures will hold between November 9 and 17, 2026.
The final set of qualification matches is expected to be played from March 22 to 30, 2027.
The Super Eagles will be hoping to maintain their dominance against their group opponents and book an early ticket to the continental championship.
