
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will discover their opponents for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers when the draw holds on Tuesday, May 19, the Confederation of African Football has confirmed.
CAF said 48 countries will take part in the qualifying series, including co-hosts Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
The teams will be drawn into 12 groups of four. The top two sides from each group will advance to the final tournament.

The 2027 AFCON is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, June 19, 2027, with the final set for Saturday, July 17, 2027. CAF has yet to announce the host venues for the opening match and the final.
The Super Eagles head into the qualifiers after finishing third at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations hosted by Morocco.
