A pregnant woman has reportedly died in Ebonyi State after allegedly being prevented by her husband from going to the hospital for delivery.
According to reports, the woman had previously given birth to twins through Caesarean section and later became pregnant again. When she reportedly went into labour, her husband allegedly refused to allow her to seek hospital treatment because he did not want her to undergo another Caesarean section.
The husband reportedly contacted a pharmacist to assist with the delivery at home. The pharmacist allegedly administered an injection before attempting to assist with the delivery.
