
Operatives of the Oyo State Police Command have successfully recovered a vehicle stolen in Ibadan and arrested a 21-year-old suspect in Gombe State.
The vehicle, which was reported stolen on July 29, 2026, was tracked by police intelligence to Gombe, where the suspect, identified as Daniel Chinada Obidiukwu, was apprehended while in possession of the car.
According to the Police Public to Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect allegedly stole the vehicle from Ibadan and transported it across state lines with the intention of selling it to an unsuspecting buyer.

“The suspect was arrested in possession of the stolen vehicle, which has since been recovered and secured as evidence,” Ayanlade stated.
He further disclosed that the suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue to uncover possible accomplices and additional details surrounding the crime.
The police assured that upon the conclusion of investigations, the suspect will be charged to court in accordance with the law.
