Music executive and Mavin Records founder, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has dismissed claims that he accepts payment from celebrities to promote their projects.
The producer made the clarification on X after a comedy skit by Nollywood actor Itele sparked speculation online.
In the skit, Itele jokingly tied Don Jazzy up and forced him to promote the upcoming film, Black Market. Reacting to the video, an X user, Oba Tao Oshomo, suggested that the endorsement was sponsored, writing: “Don Jazzy fit do anything for money.”
Responding to the claim, Don Jazzy firmly denied ever charging for promotional support within the entertainment industry.

“Nobody in the entertainment space has ever paid me a dime for promo oo. You think say I be don for mouth. The Don’s blessings na free bro,” he wrote.
Black Market is a Nollywood production aiming to set a Guinness World Records title for the largest film screening in a single location.
The movie is produced by Rixel Studios in partnership with FilmOne Studios, Signet Ring Studios, and Switch Visuals Production.
According to the producers, the film will premiere on September 26 at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, with an ambitious target of 50,000 attendees. If successful, the event will surpass the current record of more than 43,000 people watching a film together at a single venue.
Don Jazzy has previously made headlines for revealing that he searched for former secondary school crushes who rejected him after becoming successful and for describing the departure of singer Di’ja from Mavin Records as one of the toughest decisions of his career.
