Chinaka explained that the raid was executed based on credible intelligence, with operatives from the Central Police Station in Umuahia working in collaboration with local vigilante groups.
The team stormed identified black spots within the Mission Hill/New Road axis, popularly known as “Down Below,” an area described as a secluded valley extending into the bush.
Another notorious hideout in Amuzukwu, known for drug-related activities and serving as a refuge for suspected criminals, was also successfully raided during the operation.
The police confirmed that substances suspected to be illicit drugs were recovered from the suspects at the scene.
