Operatives of the Oyo State Police Command have arrested three suspected armed robbers during a coordinated raid on a hideout in the Sabo-Mokola area of Ibadan, recovering a locally made firearm and ammunition.
The operation was carried out by officers attached to the Command Monitoring Unit after receiving credible intelligence about the activities of the suspects in the area.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, the suspects were identified as Tomiwa Ayomide, Haruna Kabiru and Haruna Hassan.

He disclosed that a search of the apartment led to the recovery of one single-barrel, locally made cut-to-size gun and seven cartridges believed to have been used for criminal activities.
Ayanlade said the successful operation was the result of intelligence-driven policing aimed at tackling armed robbery and improving public safety across the state.
The police spokesperson confirmed that the three suspects remain in custody while investigations continue to determine the extent of their alleged involvement in criminal activities and identify any possible accomplices.
The Oyo State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to combating crime and urged residents to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies to support ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the state.
