
The Cross River State Police Command has arrested four suspected members of a six-man gang allegedly linked to the burglary of a phone accessories company in Calabar.
The suspects were identified as Hassan Ahmad, 38; Jabiru Ibrahim, 35; Usman Isa Garuba, 22; and Abdullalim Hassan, 23.
According to the police, the suspects allegedly broke into Royaline Technologies, located along Etta Agbor Road, Calabar, on June 3, 2026.
Investigators said the burglars reportedly stole 62 mobile phones of different models, phone accessories, speakers, earphones and ₦529,000 in cash.
The total value of the stolen items was estimated at ₦49,150,715.

Police operatives from the Vehicle Crime Response Unit traced one of the suspects, Jabiru Ibrahim, to Kano State, where he was arrested on September 2. He was later taken to Calabar on September 3.
The police said efforts were ongoing to arrest the two remaining members of the alleged gang and recover the stolen property.
The suspects are expected to undergo further investigation, while anyone found culpable will be prosecuted according to the law.
