
A passenger lost his life while three others sustained injuries following a collision involving two commercial tricycles in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
The accident occurred on Monday evening along Haske Road near Lamingo Golf Club when two tricycles, popularly known as Keke Napep, crashed into each other.
Eyewitnesses said the incident happened around 5 p.m. after one of the tricycle operators attempted to dodge a pothole on the road. In the process, the vehicle reportedly swerved into the path of an oncoming tricycle, resulting in a violent collision.
The impact of the crash claimed the life of one passenger at the scene, while three others suffered varying degrees of injuries.

Residents and emergency responders quickly moved to the scene to assist the victims. The injured passengers were subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
A resident who witnessed the incident described the accident as unfortunate and called on relevant authorities to urgently repair the damaged portions of the road.
According to locals, the numerous potholes along the route have become a major threat to motorists and commuters, increasing the risk of accidents.
The crash caused temporary traffic congestion as concerned residents gathered at the scene and rescue efforts were underway.
Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps were reportedly informed of the incident and were expected to verify details surrounding the crash.
Residents have renewed calls for immediate road repairs to prevent further loss of lives and ensure the safety of road users in the area.
