Popular Nigerian rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, has claimed that some artistes in the Nigerian music industry resort to spiritual practices, popularly referred to as ‘jazz’, to achieve hit songs.
The rapper made the claim during an appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, where he spoke about the challenges of producing commercially successful music.
According to him, securing a hit song is not an easy achievement, as some artistes spend their entire careers without recording a major hit.
He, however, commended Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy, Wizkid and Afrobeats star Davido for their consistency in releasing successful songs over the years.
“Getting a hit song is not easy. Sometimes people even do jazz to get one. That is why you see some artists crashing out when they struggle to get a hit,” he said.

Odumodublvck added that the consistency of the three music stars in delivering hit records over the years deserves recognition.
In a related development, the rapper recently disclosed that popular cleric Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumeje, contacted him with a disturbing vision.
According to the rapper, Odumeje claimed to have seen a vision in which some individuals were planning to detain and poison him.
Sharing the revelation on his X account, Odumodublvck said he was not afraid, expressing confidence in God’s protection and his faith in Jesus Christ.
He maintained that despite the alleged threats, he believes victory is assured through the protection of God.
