The President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Engr. Ali Alimasuya Rabiu FNSE, F.ASCE, FAEng, MFR has charged the newly inaugurated Executive Committee of the NSE Kano Branch to provide responsible, transparent and inclusive leadership while contributing to the technological and socio-economic development of Kano State and Nigeria.
Engr. Rabiu gave the charge during the inauguration of the new Executive Committee of the NSE Kano Branch, describing the occasion as an important moment in the life of the branch. He congratulated the new Chairman and members of the Executive Committee, noting that their emergence had entrusted them with the responsibility of leading their colleagues, strengthening the branch and advancing the objectives of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
He encouraged the committee to build on the achievements of their predecessors while introducing new ideas and initiatives capable of further strengthening the branch.

Engr. Rabiu placed particular emphasis on the development of young engineers, calling on the new leadership to establish platforms for mentorship, technical training, entrepreneurship, networking and career development. According to him, young engineers should be encouraged to participate actively in NSE activities and provided with opportunities to make meaningful contributions to the engineering profession.
The NSE President also called for stronger collaboration between the Kano Branch and universities, polytechnics, research institutions, industries, government agencies and other professional organisations. He stressed that the NSE Kano Branch should go beyond serving as a professional association and become an active contributor to technological innovation and socio-economic development.
Engr. Rabiu expressed confidence that the new Executive Committee, through purposeful leadership and collaboration, would further advance the objectives of the Society and strengthen the contribution of engineers to national development.
