NSE, Pana Holdings Explore Collaboration on Engineering Capacity Building -

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has expressed its readiness to collaborate with Pana Holdings in strengthening engineering capacity, particularly through programmes targeted at Young Engineers.

The President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Ali Alimasuya Rabiu, FNSE, F.ASCE, FAEng, MFR, stated this when the management team of Pana Holdings paid him a courtesy visit.
Engr. Rabiu said the Society was willing to partner with Pana Holdings in areas of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on capacity building and the professional development of Young Engineers.

He also invited the Group Chief Executive Officer of Pana Holdings to attend the forthcoming International Engineering Conference in Maiduguri. He further encouraged the company to sponsor its Engineers to participate in the conference, noting that such engagements would provide opportunities for knowledge sharing, networking and professional development.

The NSE President expressed appreciation to the Pana Holdings management for the visit, adding that he looked forward to the engagement developing into a mutually beneficial and sustainable partnership between the Society and the company.

NSE Calls for United African Engineering Front to Fast-Track Continental Development

Earlier, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Pana Holdings, Dr. Daere Akobo, said the company has operations in Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt, with interests spanning energy, power, agriculture, mining and process industries, among other sectors.
Akobo explained that the Pana Holdings team visited the NSE Secretariat to explore opportunities for collaboration and to learn from the Society in areas that would be beneficial to both organisations.

He said the company was interested in building stronger relationships with professional institutions such as the NSE as part of its efforts to deepen expertise and contribute to the development of Nigeria’s engineering and industrial sectors.

Also present at the meeting were Past President of the Society, Engr. Tasiu Sa’ad Gidari-Wudil, FNSE, mni, the Executive Secretary, Engr. Ibrahim Aliyu Dutsinma, FNSE, Director, Corporate Services, Aliyu Abdulkadir, FNIM, Director, Membership Services, Engr. Ibrahim Wahab, FNSE, Deputy Director/Head of Legal Services, Mr. Thomas Egbele and Assistant Director Media, Mr Henry Iortim.
