Nigerian street-hop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has welcomed a baby boy with his wife, Omobewaji Ewatomi, in a dramatic turn of events that coincided with his recent boxing bout in Lagos.
The singer made the announcement on Saturday via his social media page, revealing that his wife went into labour while he was in the ring competing against skit maker Carter Efe at the “Chaos in the Ring 4” celebrity boxing event held at Balmoral Hall.
Expressing both joy and disbelief, Portable said, “My wife was in labour while I fought. She gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. I thank God for everything.”
Despite losing the match by unanimous decision, the singer downplayed the defeat, stating that the birth of his son meant far more to him than any championship belt.

His wife, Omobewaji, confirmed the news in a brief message shared online, expressing gratitude and describing the newborn as a blessing. She also revealed that the baby has been named Jamal Iremide.
