A 12-year-old boy from Benue State who was earlier reported missing has been found safe in Gombe State.
The boy, identified as Reuben Mtagher, an indigene of Ukum Local Government Area of Benue, was discovered in Amada community, Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State.
According to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Reuben was found alive and in good health and is currently under their protection at the Gombe State Command Headquarters.

The agency disclosed that the boy speaks only the Tiv language and has three brothers identified as Suur, Mnguember, and Mmen—details provided to assist in locating his family.
The NSCDC has called on the boy’s parents, guardians, relatives, or anyone with useful information about his family to come forward for proper identification and reunion.
Authorities assured that the child remains in safe custody pending the arrival of his family.
