
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have rescued 10 National Examinations Council (NECO) candidates and teachers who were abducted by suspected Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists during an attack on a secondary school in Borno State.
The attack occurred on Monday morning at the Technical Secondary School in Lassa Community, Askira/Uba Local Government Area, while students were writing their NECO examination.

According to security sources, the terrorists stormed the school, disrupting the examination and abducting several students and teachers before fleeing into the surrounding bush.
Following the incident, troops of Operation Hadin Kai launched a coordinated rescue operation, leading to the safe recovery of 10 of the abducted victims.
Security sources said efforts are still underway to locate and rescue any remaining victims, as military operations continue across the area to track down the fleeing terrorists.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the exact number of people initially abducted, while security has been reinforced to prevent further attacks in the affected community.
