Operatives of the Department of State Services, working with forest guards, have intercepted a large consignment of medical supplies suspected to be meant for ISWAP fighters in Borno State.
The interception happened in Kaga Local Government Area during a coordinated operation along a route often used by insurgents to move supplies through forested areas. Security analyst Zagazola Makama shared details of the operation on X on Friday.

Recovered items include pain relief drugs, anti-malaria injections, antibiotics, and other medical materials, along with basic consumables believed to support fighters in the field. Security sources said the supplies were likely intended for ISWAP members injured in recent military operations in the North-East.
Those behind the movement reportedly tried to transport the items in small quantities to avoid detection. The intercepted materials are now in custody for further examination, while investigations continue to track those linked to the supply network.
