
Arsenal legend Paul Merson has warned Paris Saint-Germain that they cannot afford to concede first if they want to beat Arsenal in Saturday’s Champions League final.
Writing in his Sportskeeda column, Merson said Arsenal are extremely difficult to break down once they take the lead. The final takes place in Budapest, with both sides chasing their first Champions League title in the modern era.
“If PSG want to win this final, they cannot afford to let Arsenal score the first goal,” Merson said. “We know how difficult Arsenal can be to break down.”

He acknowledged that PSG have shown they can play defensively, pointing to their second-leg performance against Bayern Munich. However, he believes their attacking trio gives them the edge over Arsenal.
“Even PSG can play defensive like they did against Bayern in the second leg, but their front-three is just superior to Arsenal,” he said. “Even if Arsenal try, they cannot match PSG’s attack.”
The clash in Budapest is set to be a tight contest between Mikel Arteta’s disciplined Arsenal side and PSG’s attacking firepower.
