Former England midfielder Paul Merson believes set-pieces could give Arsenal the edge over Paris Saint-Germain in Saturday’s Champions League final in Budapest.
Speaking on _The Good, The Bad & The Football_ podcast, Merson said the Gunners’ physical advantage at corners and free-kicks could prove decisive against the Ligue 1 champions.
He argued that PSG’s smaller squad may struggle to cope with Arsenal’s delivery from dead-ball situations, turning each set-piece into a major scoring opportunity.

“Anytime they get a set-piece will be like a penalty because PSG are a small team,” Merson said. “They’re a good team but they’re a small team, and I think PSG will struggle with that.”
Arsenal are chasing their first European title, and Merson noted that the clash will pit one of the best attacking lines against one of the best defences in the competition.
