A 25-year-old woman, Kehinde Onizeokaraga, has allegedly been killed by her husband, Sodiq Ibrahim, following a marital disagreement in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.
According to reports, the couple, who were both from Kogi State, had been experiencing marital problems, with Kehinde reportedly leaving her husband’s home over unresolved differences.
The situation took a tragic turn on Wednesday when the couple reportedly met at the residence of a family acquaintance for an attempt at reconciliation. The disagreement allegedly escalated into a physical confrontation, during which Ibrahim attacked Kehinde with a machete, leaving her fatally injured.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene and remains at large, while the deceased’s body has been deposited in a mortuary.
Kehinde’s family has appealed to security agencies to intensify efforts to arrest the suspect and ensure that justice is served.
The Ekiti State Police Command confirmed the incident, saying the Commissioner of Police, Michael Falade, had ordered a thorough investigation and directed that the perpetrator be apprehended and brought to justice.
