Mayowa Lambe, the former wife of media personality Roby Ekpo, has formally pushed back against claims he allegedly made about their past relationship, issuing a cease-and-desist letter through her legal representatives.
In the notice, Mayowa maintains that their traditional marriage had already been mutually dissolved prior to May 2025, with the full knowledge and consent of both families. She disputes Ekpo’s reported version of events, accusing him of spreading false and damaging narratives, including allegations of infidelity, financial dependence, and misrepresentation of their marital status.

According to her legal team, these statements have fueled online harassment and caused significant harm to her reputation.
The letter demands that Ekpo immediately refrain from making further statements about her, remove any previously published content deemed defamatory, and issue a public apology.
In addition, her lawyers are seeking ₦100 million in damages, warning that failure to comply within three days will result in legal action.
