A tragic incident has unfolded in Lagos State as a young man identified as Azeez was reportedly beaten to death following a dispute over a missing phone in the Oko-Oba area of Agege.
According to sources, the incident occurred in early August after Azeez attended a birthday celebration with friends. What began as a minor disagreement over a missing phone quickly escalated into violence.
Eyewitness accounts reveal that the phone in question was allegedly found in Azeez’s possession. He reportedly claimed that another individual at the gathering had handed the phone to him for safekeeping.
However, the person accused denied any involvement, leaving Azeez to face the anger of others present.
The situation reportedly worsened when those involved chose not to confront the alleged original suspect, instead directing their aggression toward Azeez. He was severely assaulted during and after the party.

A police source confirmed that authorities received reports of the incident and that the altercation stemmed from a dispute over a missing phone.
Efforts to reach the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer for official comments were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
