
The Kano State Police Command has returned a recovered orange Vibe car and an ash-coloured Haojue motorcycle to their rightful owners following intelligence-led operations.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
According to him, the handover took place at the command headquarters in Bompai, Kano, after officers completed the necessary checks and verified the ownership documents.
Kiyawa explained that the process was properly documented before the recovered vehicles were released to their owners.
He said the exercise was part of the command’s ongoing efforts to recover stolen property and ensure that such items are returned to their rightful owners.
The beneficiaries reportedly expressed appreciation to the police for recovering their property. They also praised the officers for their professionalism and dedication to duty.
They described the recovery and prompt return of their belongings as evidence of the police’s commitment to serving the public.
The Commissioner of Police in Kano State, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, congratulated the beneficiaries and said the operation aligned with the policing vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

According to Bakori, the initiative prioritises the protection of lives and property, the recovery of stolen belongings and the promotion of public confidence through transparent and accountable policing.
The police commissioner assured residents that the command would continue working to maintain peace and security across Kano State.
He further stated that any recovered stolen property would be returned to its rightful owner after the necessary verification procedures had been completed.
