Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, has sworn in three commissioners, 18 special advisers and two other senior government officials, urging them to serve the state with honesty and dedication.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Thursday, October 29, 2026.
Speaking after the ceremony, Balarabe reminded the appointees that their oaths of allegiance and office carried serious responsibilities. She said they were expected to serve the people faithfully and perform their duties without fear or favour.
She explained that the appointments were not simply about receiving new positions but accepting the responsibility of leadership, which requires humility, integrity and commitment to public service.
According to her, Governor Uba Sani appointed them because of their experience, abilities and capacity to contribute to the development of Kaduna State.
Balarabe also defended the timing of the appointments during the election season, saying the needs of residents could not be put on hold because of the political calendar.
She stated that the governor remained committed to fulfilling his promises to the people, regardless of their political, ethnic or religious backgrounds.
The deputy governor highlighted some achievements of the administration since May 2023, including efforts to restore peace in communities affected by conflict, reopen farmlands and revive markets.
She said more than 500 schools previously closed because of insecurity had reopened, while over 300,000 out-of-school children returned to classrooms in 2025.
Balarabe added that the government had constructed and renovated classrooms, trained teachers and upgraded 255 primary healthcare centres to Level Two. She also noted that improvements were ongoing in general hospitals across the state.
