
Kelechi Iheanacho was on the scoresheet as Celtic defeated Dunfermline Athletic 3-1 to lift the Scottish Cup at Hampden Park on Saturday.
Celtic started strongly and took the lead in the 17th minute through Daizen Maeda. The Hoops maintained control and doubled their advantage nine minutes before halftime when Arne Engels found the net.

Iheanacho came on for James Forrest two minutes before the hour mark and made an immediate impact. The Nigerian striker scored Celtic’s third in the 62nd minute to put the result beyond doubt. He finished the season with nine goals in 24 appearances across all competitions for the Bhoys.
Josh Cooper pulled one back for Dunfermline in the 80th minute, but it proved only a consolation as Celtic secured the cup triumph.
