Eyewitness accounts suggest that the accident happened when the vehicles collided at the Omi Asoro Junction, a section of the expressway known for heavy traffic activity.
One of the drivers involved was reportedly operating without a valid driver’s licence.
Authorities have not yet fully established the exact cause of the crash, but the FRSC confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
The incident adds to a growing number of road tragedies recorded across Nigerian highways in recent days, raising renewed concerns over driver compliance, vehicle safety, and road discipline.
