The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has recovered a stolen Toyota Prado SUV in Abuja and arrested a suspect in connection with the incident.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday.
According to Adeh, the Garki Police Station received a complaint on Sunday from a man identified as Haruna Alhaji, who reported that his dark ash Toyota Prado SUV had been stolen from the parking lot of an event centre in Area 8, Garki, Abuja.
She said the police immediately launched an investigation after receiving the report.
Preliminary findings indicated that an unidentified man drove the vehicle out of the premises at about 3:10 pm without the owner’s knowledge.
Adeh explained that police operatives used digital tracking technology to trace the vehicle and recovered it within the Garki area at approximately 7:30 pm on the same day.
