The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested about 300 people during a raid on suspected crime hotspots, shanties and uncompleted buildings across the FCT.
The operation, conducted on Saturday, September 19, 2026, was aimed at disrupting criminal activities and improving security across the territory.
According to the police, items recovered during the operation included knives, a toy gun, cannabis and other suspected illicit drugs.
The arrested persons are currently undergoing screening and profiling. Police said individuals found to have committed offences would be charged to court, while those with no case to answer would be released after the screening process.

The FCT Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Sanusi, said the command would continue intelligence-led raids and proactive policing in areas identified as potential criminal hideouts.
He also urged residents to provide credible information about suspicious activities and warned police officers involved in such operations against extortion, harassment or unlawful demands for money.
The command encouraged anyone struggling with drug abuse to seek counselling and rehabilitation support.
