Veteran Nigerian music producer, ID Cabasa, has stated that secular music does not belong to the devil, urging Christian creatives to actively participate in the mainstream music industry without fear or hesitation.
The Coded Tunes boss made the statement while addressing ongoing perceptions that secular music is inherently ungodly or spiritually unsafe for believers.
He dismissed such views as misleading and part of an agenda to discourage Christians from taking their place in the entertainment space.

According to him, the idea that the devil controls secular music is false, stressing that “the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof.” He emphasized that what truly represents darkness is sin and immoral behavior, not the music industry itself.
Cabasa encouraged Christian musicians and creatives to confidently express their talents in the secular space, noting that positive influence and “light” are more powerful than negativity within the industry.
He further explained that evil only thrives in the absence of light, adding that believers have a responsibility to bring good values into all areas of life, including music and entertainment.
“Their evil cannot trump your light,” he added, urging young artists not to isolate themselves from mainstream platforms due to fear or misconceptions.
His comments have since sparked discussions within the entertainment industry about faith, creativity, and the role of religion in secular music spaces.
