
A tragic incident has been reported in the Okirigbagha area of Sapele Local Government Area, Delta State, where a man identified as Favour allegedly strangled his wife, Blessing Oghwoghwo, to death before fleeing the community.
According to reports, the incident followed an argument between the couple after Favour allegedly demanded money from his wife, who reportedly sold provisions to support the family.
The disagreement was said to have escalated, with the man allegedly beating and strangling Blessing until she died.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene after noticing that neighbours were approaching, leaving behind the couple’s two young children, aged five and three.
The incident has reportedly caused concern among residents, while efforts are expected to be made to locate the fleeing suspect.
However, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, had not confirmed the incident at the time of the report.
The circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are therefore subject to police investigation and official confirmation.
