
Several supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Benue State have sustained injuries following a head-on collision involving two buses conveying them to the party’s North-Central mega rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The accident reportedly occurred within Lafia town, along the Government House route, as the supporters travelled to attend the political gathering.
The injured supporters were said to be loyalists of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.

Confirming the incident, Dan Ihomun, the factional Publicity Secretary of the APC in Benue State, said the two buses were involved in a head-on collision.
According to Ihomun, no lives were lost in the incident, while those injured were taken to a hospital for medical attention.
The exact circumstances that led to the collision had not been established as of the time of reporting.
