The male housemates in Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 11 have secured their first major victory, defeating the female housemates in the inaugural Thursday wager task of the season.
The challenge, which took place on Thursday, revolved around the classic “Nature versus Nurture” debate. Both teams were tasked with presenting compelling arguments to support their positions.
The female housemates argued in favour of nurture, emphasizing that an individual’s character, behaviour, and achievements are largely shaped by upbringing, environment, and life experiences.
On the other hand, the male housemates defended nature, insisting that inherited traits and genetics play a more significant role in shaping who people become.
After reviewing both presentations, Big Brother declared the male housemates the winners of the debate, awarding them the first wager victory of the season.

Announcing the result, Big Brother stated, “Housemates, the winners of tonight’s wager are the gentlemen.”
This win comes shortly after a major twist was introduced in the house, splitting contestants into male and female teams for selected tasks and competitions.
Under this format, wager tasks, arena games, and other challenges are now contested along gender lines, encouraging teamwork within each group.
The new structure is expected to influence house dynamics significantly, as housemates navigate competition, build alliances, and develop strategies while balancing group loyalty with individual gameplay.
With tensions already building, viewers can expect more intense rivalries and engaging moments as the season progresses.
