Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has publicly accused her estranged husband, Frederick Leonard, and a woman she claims is his married lover, labeling them “shameless lots.”
In an Instagram story posted on Tuesday, Ovire shared a video of Leonard with the alleged lover and urged them not to skip the next court hearing. She said both should appear at the customary court on June 23 for the second time.
“You said you wanted a divorce, yet you didn’t show up when you were served,” she wrote. “Please don’t avoid customary court for the second time on June 23rd because I’m coming with receipts and let’s make this divorce done and dusted. So both of you can finally be together.”
Ovire accused Leonard, who she described as “so called traditional Igbo man,” of being involved with another Igbo man’s wife and mother of four children. She claimed he tried to downplay her allegations by contacting a blogger but failed to appear in court after being served with her petition.
“When you were served and saw details of my petition, you knew I had seen one out of many, yet refused to show up in court but sent your lawyer,” she added.
The actress has been vocal about the breakdown of her marriage in recent months, deleting Leonard’s name from her social media bio amid divorce rumors. The couple’s case is expected to continue at the customary court later this month.
